In this week’s episode, Managing Editor Gary Castor chats with Julie Allen, local author of “A History of Enslaved People of Osage County,” about the hidden stories of slaves who lived, suffered and died in Mid-Missouri and why it’s important to share these stories today. Allen spoke Monday at a night of remembrance for people who had lived enslaved in Osage County, hosted by the Missouri NAACP and First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City.
